This examination is only available in the form of a paper-and-pencil test for Combined Defence Services. The candidates must carry a black ballpoint pen to fill out their answers on the OMR sheets at the examination center. Each section has a duration of two hours. OTA recruitment only has two areas – English and G.K – with all the questions being objective-based. In the Mathematics section of the exam, candidates are not permitted to take a calculator.
